try Faria's website, they have some discontinued gauges that they sell cheap.

Like this one at $49.00..Is that a good price?
(No idea what regular price is..$100.00 or so?)

Hmm, picture no good.
Anyway, here is the link: Only one "clearance" tach showed generic, the others said Volvo, Merc, Marine Power, or Diesel.
The white faced one on the upper left just says Outboard Tachometer...

It was $17 a week or so ago. I bought that very one and a combo gauge for $25. They must be running out, sorry not such a cheap price anymore.

Oh well, I will stay tuned to the web site, and when another $17.00 special pops up, I'll grab it and run....:D

Now looking for spark plugs and a thermostat for the above 2004 Johnson
50 two-stroke.

Any quick reference link..?

Tried Google, but too much information and none of it applied to my motor.

Looking for NGK plugs.
The motor is a bit harder to start when cold and occasionally dies at idle.
New plugs may be a quick fix.
The cooling water is cold all the time, indicating the thermostat is removed or stuck open.

Other than that, the engine runs pretty good, just a little tweaking needed.

Hows the key working out for you

Well, the key works pretty good now that I am used to pushing it in to prime the engine before start and to push it in to stop. (While turned left to the stop...The priming gets done while turning to the right and pushing)

A bit of an IQ test, but got it sorted out...:D

Sure, I can spray something up there, but the problem does not seem to be any pieces sticking, or friction of any kind...Just a very much, uh "multi-functiong" key..
