I just rigged my boat with a pair of 150s and they ran great on muffs but the first time I put it in the water the port motor ran fine and the starboard would start and die. It will restart every time but die immediately or within 10 seconds. I searched a lot and most things point to fuel but I have tried swapping almost everything from the good motor to the bad with no luck. Both motors share a fuel tank but have all new lines from the tank to the water separator on the engine.
So far this is what I have tried...
replaced both low pressure pumps with brand new because they leaked when i unbolted them and pumped the ball
tried running from a can directly to the motor
switched the water separator and filter, vst tank, medium to high pressure filter from good motor to bad
Took cables off and cleaned them and even switched them to the other engines battery
tried spare engine harness and key switch
looked for broken or corroded wires
Replaced mystery filters in in high pressure pump but not injectors yet
removed grounds, cleaned, reinstalled
The motor will run if unhook the throttle position sensor and I also tried switching that. I just got the YDS and hooked it up and everything looks good and when I unhook the TPS the high pressure pump fuel pressure is 690 at idle. I checked a volt meter and on the TPS I get 5v on the wire coming the computer.
I am really stumped and hope someone can help.
