2003 XL 700 no spark

Been running fine for the last 3 weeks and then in the middle of the lake it dies and wont start. After getting it in I change the plugs and check for spark. Nada......Stator? Any help greatly appreciated. On a side note I also have 2 97 Waveraiders that my buddies daughter decided to put mixed fuel in. Is it as easy as draining the fuel, changing the plugs and filters?

when you say "no spark" - do you mean the engine turns over but does not fire, or it does not turn over at all?

check your start/stop switch for proper operation.

check the fuse.

battery charged?

Battery is fully charged. It turns over fine. It just wont fire anymore. It was firing fine 10 minutes before it stopped. Do I unplug the start/stop switch to check it. Checked the fuse also. It was fine.
