2003 Mercury 200 2 stroke starting

Recently purchased a 2002 Kenner 2102 with a 2003 Mercury 200 HP 2 stroke from a family friend. Boat ran fine for a few weeks and now won’t fire up. Purchased new battery, changed fuses, cleaned wiring connections and also changed all the coil packs. Deep Cycle Battery reads 12.7. Cables from battery to solenoid read 12.7. Starter engages and spins flywheel while trying to crank also. I can hook jumper cables to the battery and ground on the starter and it will fire up and continue to fire up until it sits for a couple of days. Any help on where to look next is appreciated. Sounds like you need a new starter.
