2003 Johnson water intake

May be a silly question. I was just given a 2003 Johnson 15hp 4 stroke longshaft. Unlike my other 2 strokes it doesn't have a intake on both sides that I can use my muffs. I think I may have seen a intake just above the prop under the cavitation plate. Is this correct? If so I guess only way to run it is in a barrel?

Okay thanks. So that was the intake under the plate and can only use a barrel?

One screw removes intake screen.-----Then make an adapter for garden hose.
