I have a 86 aquasport222 with twin 90hp motors that i had repowered in 04 from the origional 70hp's and the boat performed flawlesley until last year when i had a minor fire under cowling . the cause of such was i much as i could make out was that when previously having carbs or other service the technician must have removed the mid section and when reinstalling ran positive and neg. cables under protecting ear of mid section and the shifter cable rubed through the positive and arced a fire. after inspection of other motor same was found. the fire was bad enough i had to replace the bottom side of vro pump and bottom bowl of carb, plus numerous other parts and hoses. when all items were replaced and water tested on river it all runs perfect except when at wot the engine in question runs about 3-400 rpms less than other motor on port side, which at that throttle im still running at 45 mph. at inspection prior to repair cables were also rubbing the linkage adjustment wheels or star wheels, could this be they are out of adjustment. how to adjust. or other problem? anyone , i need help with this
