I'm working on a low run time 2003 Johnson 15HP 4 stroke. Engine would not idle and would not run at high speed. Pulled the carb and went through it as usual. Reinstalled the carb, and no start. (motor never left the stand).
After pulling the plugs I determined the issue was not fuel, but suddenly no spark. Why? I have no idea as the motor would start easily prior to carb rebuild.
Checked all of the obvious such as kill switch, wire pulled loose during disassembly, neutral switch, etc. No issues found.
Been repairing outboards for many years and any ideas would be appreciated.
