Hey neighbors i'm trying to find out where i can get the software and cable hookup for a lap top to access the emm on this model . This motor in knocking and i need to find out if it's a rod of something else making that strange noise!!

Not sure what the EMM will show you but I've never seen an error code for bearings. A compression test would be a good idea. If the bearings wore due to oil problems the rings have suffered also.
I'm sure some FICHT owners will be along with more insight into this engine.

try Google FICHT software will bring up some dealers who sell the diagnostic stuff

It won't help bearing problems

I highly doubt you're going to get that info out of the EMM. Break out your wrenches.

i have a "deal" in front of me right now on a boat with a 2003 225 ficht engine on it. most everything i read is buyer beware. they are recalibrating the MME. it has 74 hrs and the boat is in great shape. am i buying a problem? thanks in advance!
