I have an 2002 F80TLRA 4 stroke Yamaha outboard. The engine developed a slight miss at all rpms and I changed the spark plugs. The engine had last been serviced 2 years earlier to include plug replacement. When I replaced plugs this year I discovered the wrong plugs had been in use for 2 years. (50 hrs) After installing the proper plugs the miss has slowly gotten worse. The engine idles smooth. Under slow acceleration engine develops a miss at 2800 rpm. Then it clears up at3300. Runs smooth until WOT. At WOT the rpms only go to 5000 (use to run about 5300) after running smoothly at 5000 for 2-3 seconds the rpms fall to 4500 and a very noticable miss occurs. If I back down to below 4500 and go back to 5000 same result. Fuel filters have been cleaned and all 4 plugs look to be in good condition. Maybe 200 hrs on motor. Also seems to be using much more fuel. Please help. Thanks.
