75ELPTO Tracker motor
factory aluminum prop, 13.75" x 15 pitch
RPMs at WOT 4400
Top speed 20 mph

According to motor tag the maximum WOT RPM is 5250. Do I need to change pitch to get closer to the rated max RPM?
How would that affect engine performance and speed?

yes assuming motor heigh is not too low drop pitch to a 13"or maybe even an 11.

Current situation you will be lugging the motor and not allowing it to make peak power would expect a slight increase in speed but a 22 ft with a 75 is not going to be that fast . Best result will be the fact that you wont be stressing the engine as much is good for long term engine durability.

How is the boat being used? Are you pulling kids on a tube or something? Do you CARE about top speed?

I know people that NEVER use more than 1/4 throttle on their pontoons. You're prop would be fine for use in that situation. It's not hurting a thing.
-BUT-
If you're looking for increased performance, you need to get those rpm's up closer to max rated.
