new to pontoons. Trying to figure out if this is a good deal or not. 2002 princecraft 115merc 24ft w/ seat in front and rear(fishing model). What's something like this going for these days. Guy is asking $14,000. Thanks for any feedback.

prices have been pretty crazy these days, so it's hard to say. however, a boat that age would be showing some wear by now. condition is everything with boats.
a new interior could cost 5000+/-.

Went and looked it over yesterday, floor was solid, toons looked nice, seats were pretty good, no fading but a few patch spots. Bimini top was ok. Carpet looked the worse, stretched out in a few high traffic areas

so, 5 years ago I bought an '07 24' pontoon with a 60hp merc, tandem trailer. Double bimini top, full enclosure, showing their age but not ripped or torn. seats and carpet good shape, no rips, holes, etc. Toons in nice shape 25" diameters....$14,000......
so, not a bad price...is it with a trailer?
Check that motor and lower unit as best you can....that would be the biggest headache and disappointment.....

Just one thought here. How's your patience? From a sales perspective, you aren't going to find a time of year where demand for used boats is much higher. A wait until late summer/fall (September?) could save thousands on a purchase like this one.
