I just picked up a jon boat with a Merc 9.9 4 stroke. The boat and motor has been sitting for a little while and on inspection I noticed the wires on the left side of the engine that's going to the coil and few other has been chewed on by Mice and were laying on top of each other so I fixed them and still no spark. The only thing I can guess is that the previous owner must have started the engine not knowing the wires were chewed on and touching each other and fried something. Any guessing what might be wrong with it.
