2002 mercury 150 weak intermitant audible warning...

My 2002 Mercury 150, has an audible warning coming from the controller, its not a beeping like low oil, its more like a weak constant buzzing that fades in and out. I have oil in both reserves, and the water pump indicator is squirting. Does anyone know what might be the cause?

The OT sensor is also tied into that circuit. Try disconnecting it at the terminal strip on the starboard side high and aft. There should be a terminal screw with 3 wires on it. One from the temp sensor, one from the oil alert, and one that goes into the harness.
Disconnect the one that goes to the oil sender.
