2002 Mecrcruiser ower unit oil leak

2002 Mercruiser I/O 4 cyl
It leaks lower unit oil inside the engine compartment. Not outside.
I replaced the plastic connector at the end of the rubber hose coming from the oil reservoir that goes into the inside transom engine mount in the engine compartment. It does not leak there. Still have problem.
I now have no idea where it is leaking. It loses about half of the reservoir oil just sitting in a week or so.
I also think it loses oil very slowly inside the engine compartment while running.

Any advice?

The input shaft seal on the yoke that goes into the drive is leaking.
It fills the bellows and finds the drain hole into the engine compartment.
Time to get the drive off and get it fixed. The gear lube also washes the grease out of the ujoints.
