looking for some help. I have a 2002 Johnson 175 ho that I’ve been running all summer without issue. Took it out last night without issue as well.
Went to start it today and it would not start. Checked for spark and I’m not getting any spark on any of the 6 cylinders. Started troubleshooting with the following:
plugged in a back up set of controls to make sure my kill switch didn’t go bad, no spark still
Checked the fuse on the wiring harness , fuse is good. Changed it anyways
Unplugged port side 5 pin connecter on top of the power pack, no spark
unplugged the rectifier from the stator, no spark
I do not have a DVA adapter to check specific readings.
someone said I should replace the power pack as 98% of ignition issues stem from it. Would it really go bad overnight?
