I'm new to bayliner. I see that it has some sort of ecos, but how does it work. The boat did not come with lanyard. All I see is a way to flip the switch up to run and down to turn off.

If the lanyard is missing, there's usually a clip of sorts that holds the switch in the upright position. If you remove the clip, the switch goes down automatically. Without the clip the switch won't stay up.

You can purchase a replacement lanyard for most of them.

I recently purchased an 03 model and had the same issue.

This is what you want to look for, and how it goes in. You can get universal kits for peanuts that will have many attachments on it. Just cut the others off and use this one.
