serial # OT556519 engine ran fine all last year , when taking it to boat ramp at end of season in no wake zone (about 10 min ride) notice temp gauge going up , no alarm sounded and no sign of over heating. where i keep boat in winter i hooked up garden hose (not muffs) and flushed with water for about 10 min. engine not running. went back 2 weeks later to spray fogging oil in cyls. and when i pulled out #6 spark plug i would estimate 1 to 2 ounces of water came out , also a couple drops came out of cyc. #5 . I guess I'll have to pull the head but just looking for some input from others who have ideas what it might be. Thanks

so I got the divider plate off , only 1 bolt was a little tuff to remove , and it was not rotten at all , a little carbon but not bad , so where should I be looking next ? head gasket ? Thanks

Would have been the first place I’ve looked.
They get salt permeated and start leaking. If you see a white buildup at the joint it’s time to change.

When it's in two opposite cylinders it usually a divider plate. Look the divider over real good and gasket mounting areas.

it's the middle and lower cyl on starboard side , the middle one was just a few drops of water , the lower one an ounce or too. I ordered the gasket and seal but they won't be in until Tues. or weds. . I also took off thermostats housing and there was no thermostats in either side . my dealer had those in stock . Would that be part of the proplem ? I will clean up plate this weekend and take pictures . I've had this motor for 3 years and it always ran good . Thanks for all the help .
