Good morning! I apologize up front for the clueless newby questions, but...
My wife and I have recently purchased a 2001 Sylvan 2100 Space Deck FNC at auction. This is our first boat...ever.
I would like to know anything and everything about it, but unfortunately, Sylvan/Smoker Craft no longer maintain records regarding the construction, layout, and wiring of this particular vessel.
I'm sorry to ask such a broad question, but considering we are brand new at boating in general, I wonder if any of you could put me in touch with any kind of reference material that would be useful? Anyone out there own this particular boat or maybe have in the past?

Thanks in advance.

Welcome to iboats!

The first step will be check the wheel bearings so it will follow you home safely.

NEXT - I would strongly suggest a manual that covers that Year Make and Model of that Mercury outboard. That is a good starting point

First, welcome aboard

doubt smoker craft ever had wiring information back then. they relied on the wiring harness from the outboard manufacturer and a few tradesmen that understood ABYC wiring. you can find the ABYC wiring color code in the electrical forum stickies.

regarding the motor, the factory service manual from Mercury marine will be infinitely helpful. https://publications.brunswick.com

Layout on items like furniture, etc were done by the rigging crews on the line. usually determined just prior to the model year prototype going together for dealer shows. there would have been a notebook or other similar documentation on the line at the time, however doubtful if there were drawings.

HaHaHa!! Well, we got her home safe and sound. Even took her to the lake for a test spin. Good info on the manual. I'll start there.
