2001 Mercury 9.9 2 stroke

I'm considering buying a 2001 Mercury 9.9 2 stroke. Anything unusual about this motor? Parts available?

I've always had Johnsons but I'm thinking of something a little more recent.

Ok motor, parts available.
Pretty much unchanged for 20 years.

I have a 1996 and i had a few minor problems, but that was due to red neck engineering from the PO since then I have worked through those its been fine.

Lower units appear to be in demand for those.----The earlier versions just had bushings , not sure about the 2001 model.-------Maintenance and inspection might make it live a long and happy life.
