2001 Merc 60HP 4-stroke carb question

Alright folks, I am struggling here and feel like I must be missing something. I am working on getting a 2001 Merc 60hp bigfoot running again. After seeing the condition of the fuel lines and primer bulb, I am certain a carb cleaning is needed. Here is my question...how do I get the 4 carbs off of this motor???? I am fully aware that I will need to sync and balance the vacuums on the carbs after cleaning, and am prepared to do that. However, I cannot figure out how to pull the carbs from this motor.
The second bolt on each of the carbs is on the far side and blocked by engine. Am i missing something? I am sure someone here has dealt with a similar motor. How the heck do I get access to the back bolts to pull the stack of 4 carbs off the motor. Thanks.
