2001 Merc. 250 EFI, ( Idle Trouble)

Has anyone been having trouble with there 01 250 Idling? Like right after you start it. seems like it always wants to die? and the motor also seems to idle to slow, everything checks out as far as the Merc Dealers test epuipment shows. <br /><br />My E-mail is in my profile, if you care to comment.<br /><br />Thanks.I will also check back on here in a few days. thanks

I have no first-hand experiance, but vaguely remember reading something (I think here on iboats) about injector rails fouling? Anyhoo, do a search. Hope you find it,and happy hunting.

Thanks "12footer" for the input,<br /><br />& Thanks "djohns19" for the link I'll post it over there also, I got the guys 250 to Idle perfect, But i don't like the way I got there I had to cheat the TPS & crack the throttle plates. This motor has been to a few dealers & non could even make it idle, I believe there is something missing sense it has about 400 hours on it & mostly run in Florida, and has idled perfect for about the first 350 hours.
