2001 Bayliner 175 bumper mounting location?

So I am going to be putting my new (to me) 2001 bayliner 175 into the water this weekend and just realized there is nowhere to mount a bumper towards the bow of the boat. There are cleats on each side at the stern but the only other cleat is mounted right at the tip of the boat. The previous owner put it in and out every time he used it and never parked it at a dock (I guess?).

I've been googling and can't find anything. I see some newer 175s have a cleat right around where the horn is but I have nothing there. Obviously I will have to install a cleat as a long term fix but does anyone have any ideas for short term? The boat will be staying on the floating dock at my cottage all summer, pulling it out every weekend is not an option.

Would running a rope from the front cleat to the back and them hanging a bumper off that be sufficient (in addition to the bumper hanging off the back cleat)? Another option is to tie it off to the steering wheel but I don't really like that idea. Same goes for hanging it off the bimini post.

All the stores around here are doing curbside pickup only and take forever to get your order ready so I can't just stop in somewhere and grab a cleat.

I won't be around to keep an eye on it during the week so I'm a bit concerned. It's an inland lake but it can get pretty windy at times.

Can you install a couple of these loop things? I don't know what they're called.

Your boat should have a bumper (or rubrail as they say) all the way around, so there should be no problem.

For tying to the dock I put a fender a foot or so forward of the transom, one midships and another just as the hull breaks toward the bow. If you don't have cleats in the appropriate places, you can always buy a couple small ones and simply apply with screws, since there will be little to no stress.

Personally, on my last boat I installed a set of Perko Fender Locks on both sides and they have performed awesome.

Unfortunately my dock is lower than the rub rail on any boat that's pulled up to it.

Is this what you're talking about? Looks like a great idea!

Open bow with "oh carp" handles right? Tie to that.

Otherwise on the Bayliner and FourWinns in my signature I added standard cleats just ahead of the front window to tie bumpers to. My Chap I plan on adding fender cleats/locks.
