I have a 2001 225efi 3.0L.Took off heads to look at cyl. walls.Thought id replace the compression orings.The ones that mercurymarine call for do not pertrude out of the groove(they are even with it).The ones I took out had a flat surface that mated to the sleeve.Do the new ones swell enough to make a seal or are they the wrong ones.Please help.Thanks
