On my 2000 Mercury 150 efi when I put in gear it at low RPM like when loading onto trailer it seems to be a little clunky/jumpy I can kind of hear it and can feel it. But with the RPM raised a little it seems to go away. Its at both forward and reverse at real low speed, but at cruise its just fine no issues it almost feels like a miss. Not sure how many times it was serviced since 2000 but my feeling is not to many times as i knew the previous owner, when i changed oil it was pretty black but dont recall alot of metal shavings but some creamy white as a little water got in there. Was wondering if anyone had any input or if there is an adjustment to it at all all answers appreciated thank you.

I had the same problem with my 03 merc 150 carb motor. Mine turned out to be bad reed valves in the motor, Just a thought
