2000 Mercruiser 5.0 pdf manual...

I just picked up a 2000 Chapparal SSI 196 with a 5.0 Merc. Any body have a link on a manual? I want to replace all the fluids and take it out but cant wait for a manual to be delivered. Damn it I'm too excited to wait.

Well,

you really don't need a manual to change the oil and filter etc....

Just do it and take it out!

Every type oil in the world has been used in a boat by someone, and they all swear it's the best.

its usually between 5 and 6... BUT...
and this is a big but...
You should put in bout 4 1/2 then float the boat and check the level while the boat is in the water.

Over full is a problem
Below the add mark is a problem.
Put oil in till you get in between the add and the full mark. Do not overfill or underfill.
