2000 25 hp mercury bigfoot problems.

I have a 2000 25 hp mercury bigfoot. Having a problem with it. When i started the motor it runs fine for 2 to 3 mins then runs ruff. I shut it off and right back on. And it will run fine for 2 to 3 mins then does the same thing... it runs fine at Wide open throttle for the 2 to 3 mins also. shut it off turn it on runs fine for 2-3 mins any ideas.. just some thoughts, but I'm no expert

2 years ago -similar problems with my motor - i rebuilt the fuel pump and replaced the priming ball on the fuel line - so it was one of those 2 issues

when the motor is running is the priming ball pretty hard or is it soft - it should not be too soft - means the fuel isn't getting delivered

also, check the plugs and is the fuel 'old'
