Yes I wish I had a service manual... short of that I wonder if somebody familiar with this system could answer this... The oil lift pump works off crankcase pulse correct? So that single wire that goes to that pump that is for the warning system correct?? So if a diaphragm breaks or the pump stops working for any reason that will light up the oil light on the dash correct? Below that is the thing that distributes oil to each cylinder crankshaft cavity. If that thing were to fail seems to me there would be no warning is that correct??

And I'll be damned if I can figure out what the oil lines do that go from the throttle body to just below the cylinder heads. How does oil reach this when the actual oil pump only inject oil into the crank cavities?? I did buy what I was told was a service manual on a CD on eBay only come to find out it was more of a general maintenance manual not a full fledged service manual..... dang it!

The " thing " that distributes the oil has wires going to it ?-----The ECU would know if that pump was running or not I say.

That oil injector responds to signals / sensors on the motor.----Injects oil as per motor RPM / first start up / throttle position etc, etc.

Well the 'thing ' Oil Manifold & PDS Assembly doesn't pump the oil it just distributes it... that was kind of my point. I know the oil lift pump has a sensor on it and if it stops pumping oil the buzzer goes off. But if the last thing in the chain the manifold and PDS assemble stops working I'm not sure how the computer would know?
