2000 150 Vmax trouble starting

Customer has a 2000 150 VMAX runs fine for a couple of hours stopping and starting drift fishing the flats of S. Texas, but, then she doesnt want to start. Engine turns over and after awhile we can finally get her started. Recently replaced water pump, previous tech runs NGK BR8hs instead of BR7hs?

Should be no problem with Br8's. Have you checked the bulb in the line to see if the valve has gone bad allowing the fuel to drain off the carbs.
