I have a lund pro v se with the 200xri efi on it. It started to sound rough last year. Thought nothing of it. After looking into it. I found a blown piston #2 badly. Tore the engine down to find it has been rebuilt before. I have been an outboard tech for 15yrs now. Never a big merc fan. Anyway #2 has a hole melted through the side of the piston next to exhaust port. #4 is stamped 030 and 015 on #6. #4 piston is scuffed looks like a tight bore job. Cylinder is fine. Here my question. With the exhaust plate off looking at the exhaust ports #1,3,5 all have a nice oil and carbon build up. #2,4,6 have zero build up. Clean as a whistle. Obviously some diagnosis is required. Ive never seen half an engine do this before on a fuel injection. My thoughts are it leaned out. Through one of the many possibly ways.... Have you heard or seen this. Also the previous rebuilder removed the oil injection.

About .020 is all you want to bore a stock ECU mota as you cannot richen it up unless you use a aftermarket ECU and overreving it (5800 max) leans it down. Also check the bias circuit in that pack,if bad replace both and a ECU can cause this. Send the injectors and ECU to Brucato and have them tested/cleaned /flowed and if ECU is bad get one of his then you can bore it up to .040
