what is a good comp. for the cylinders and what does it mean when you turn engine off pull the spark plug and there is smoke comeing out that cylinder.

Smoke doesn't necessarily mean anything. The crank case will be full of exhaust and can exit the cylinders...<br /><br />Look for compression readings around 110-125psi. The key is to have them all withing 15psi of each other..(10%)...<br /><br />Let us know..
