1999 Mercury Optimax 200 HP (200 L OP; Serial Number -OG945607) starts and idles fine when engine is fully trimmed up on tabs but begins to stall when motor is trimmed down and when throttle is applied.i.e. load applied to motor. I can idle all over the lake with the motor trimmed up and under light throttle but will begin to cut out and stall once I trim down & begin to apply more throttle. Motor acts as though no fuel is reaching the cylinders, sometimes after it stalls it won't start unless I let it sit for 5-10 minutes. It definitely helps motor to restart if I trim back up. Bulb seems to stay pretty firm, fuel filter has been replaced yearly, new plugs last season. I cleaned the VST and needle valve/ float assembly this spring and motor ran fine for about 3 fishing trips before issue began again. Problem had been sporadic but is definitely getting worse.
