If you go the cruise route, go 7 or more days. I have been disappointed with the food, service, and entertainment on the shorter cruises. Also, Disney and Carnival are fun with kids, the more “upscale” you go the less kid-friendly and the older the clientele.

Oh, and cruise industry just relaxed COVID requirements and are giving amazing deals right now …

I've looked at the train rides in the PNW but for you might be too long and grandkids in a small tube shaped vessel for more than a couple hours is .... we'll don't want to give you nightmares so I'll stop.

when I was eight years old mom took my brother and i to the Worlds Fair in Spokane WA (1974) from Portland OR where we lived.

I remembered that as I was almost done typing my last post and actually scrolled up and typed that. felt was very important to lead off with that information.

As i remembered it I also flashed back to us two and a few others we hooked up with on the trip running in between the cars, opening the doors between to the rush of sound then slamming the doors on both sides as we passed. I'm sure we were all yelling as well.

So a two week trip of us would have made mamma throw US off the train....

Uncle Jack drove up with his dog to visit and that was the first time I ate a raw oyster. I've got the pics in my picture book.....
