2 wire tilt and trim ?

Hello I have a 1980 evinrude 70 h.p. I just put tilt and trim on (wich it never had before) and it only has 2 wires out of the trim motor (blue & green). I've never had a 2 wire set up before but noticed that i have to reverse the wires on from positive to neg. to move the motor up and down. Do I need relays or selinoid to make this work with the trim switch? By the way my trim switch now has 3 wires up/down and a power wire ,is this the right trim switch? Any help would be great!

You'll need the dual relay setup with the two wire electric PTT motor.

You have the correct trim switch.

i think my new to me '70 85 hp evinrude has the same thing... has 2 wires green and blue coming from the trim pump, but no switch came with the motor.


what exactly do i need to make it work?
