Personally, Im hoping California really will slide off into the Pacific one of these days so all the yuppy liberals can stop making rules for everyone else.

Then they will all just move to FLA. So welcome them home.

I have a lot of family in Arkansas and about the time the “Tech Bubble” burst there was a massive influx of people from California.

They were really nice when they first arrived and all complained about the regulations in California, how they were trying to escape the State, reduce their living cost, and enjoy the still pristine nature much of the State offers, on a budget.

Well two years into joining the locals and they have all started to run for the city councils, major elections, starting passing out petitions to sign, and are now trying to push through the same regulations they claimed they were trying to escape.

Really strange people on the west coast, I wish they would stay California.

Question. If everything “California” is so great, how come “Californians” don't want to live there anymore?

I thinking about retiring my 8hp 1990 Mercury trolling motor because the propeller shaft is bent and the motor sounds like a bearing is going out. This thread gave me valuable insight for what to look for in a replacement motor. The future writing is on the wall.
Oregon shares a border with california (we have tried to close it several times but the feds make us open it up), so it is a matter of time before Oregon will have only 4-stroke motors on the lakes.

Me thinks this is the anti-smoking brigade looking for a new venue now that they have conquered the taverns. Yet they will stand at a bus stop corner downtown w/o a peep.
