I'm replacing the floor of our 23' 1972 Cobia after fixing the stringers and replacing what was left of the cross supports and adding more. We are using 3/4" pressure treated plywood for the floor. Originaly the floor was glassed over and to the sides of the boat, we don't want to glass the entire floor but instead glass the floor to the sides with 'glass by overlapping each with about 12" of glass.
Questions are:
What type of glass cloth to use?
Will it stick to the pressure treated wood?
Also, does it sound like that would work?
Dennis

Most folks will tell you that glass does not adhere well to pressure treated ply and will suggest using regular ply with as few voids as possible liberally soaked with epoxy resin. If you have plenty of supports consider also using 5/8" rather than 3/4" for a weight savings.

pressure treated should be aged (let it turn gray) has far as not glassing whole floor, I would say that is a mistake even if you soak it with resin, resin alone will crack and peel with age letting moisture in thus time to start over
