Ok my turn to ask for some help!
Im new to PWCS, so have a couple questions for you more knowledgeable folks.
I just aquired a 1988 Seadoo (BRP) and a 1993 Yamaha 650
Question #1: The Seadoo is missing the battery, is this a 12 volt or 6 volt? Previous owner removed solenoid thinking that was the problem but tested fine, did no reinstall. Any wiring diagrams for this to reinstall correctly? How do you test/recharge a 6 volt battery?
Question #2: Im surpirsed that the Yammy is premix. Did they always do this? The BRP is older yet uses automix so you do not need to premix the fuel/oil.
Question #3: What cc is the Seadoo, I can see the Yammy is 650. It looks like a mid 500s? Funny because the previous owners said the Seadoo was much quicker?
I plan on going over the following things. Will check compression first, and check for spark on all leads. WIll drain the old fuel and get some fresh stuff in there before continuing. Any maintainance stuff that needs to be done on these like filters, gear oil, etc...?
Appreciate all help
Chris
Im charging the battery for the camera so I can upload some pics, will be up shortly.
