2.4 200 flywheel installation.

The flywheel is off of my motor and unbolted from the hub that bolts to the crankshaft. There is no flywheel cover on this motor so I'm not sure where the timing marks should be facing. The motor is at TDC. It looks like the flywheel will bolt to the hub in any position. I can make my own pointer to time it but don't know if it will be out of balance or something if it is not like it's supposed to be. Thanks for any help. Scott

Your lack of a timing pointer is your issue. Set the motor to TDC. Install some kind of adjustable timing pointer. Set the flywheel to indicate TDC. Now use a dial indicator or caliper to find the .464 inches BTDC and calibrate your timing pointer. The outer flywheel will not care how you install it.
