Did the initial "dunk and run" of the season today, fired up straight away and the run was uneventful. :) Plan on doing a Eagle spotting cruse tomorrow, :D if the weather holds. Full boating season can't be far off. :) :D BTW, how’s the boating weather up north?? :p :p :)

Re: 1st run of the year

How far north? Just got back from ice fishing, cleared 12" snow off, drilled 8" hole, sat on the bucket tor an hour and only had one (sent it back). Then got called in the house, MIL, to fix a broken pipe and a light. But, it did get me out of the weather.

I think boating is a ways off.

We're not quite ready to boat. Maybe a few more weeks(?).

Re: 1st run of the year

I just fired it up today. Seemed that the overheating alarm wanted to go off. I already changed the impellor, but I will change the thermostat soon.
Our boating season is year round here, if ya don't mind a bit of rain.
A couple weeks and it's all good.
Time for some more SHT's soon, but not by me this year.

Well out and back with no SHT, that's a good thing. :) Three plus hours on the water constantly moving with no problems. Except for the lack of Eagles it was a great cruse. Got a little chilly towards the end (About 5:15 PM or so) but not bad for March 5th. I hear their forecasting the low 80's for the weekend, may just have to do it again. :D :D

Re: 1st run of the year

When asking how the boating weather is up north, are you referring to how difficult it would be to remove a foot of snow, pry up 18 inches of ice, add a couple of feet to the lake level, skid down the ramp with the trailer, etc etc etc.? Is that what you are asking? HUH, IS IT?
