1999 Volvo 5.0gi running rough especially while excellerating.

Hello

Yesterday I but my boat in the water, started great run good for about 5 mins. I was letting it warm while putting stuff away. I went to give it throttle launched great then started missing. It will run good at low RPM but when power demands increase it starts missing. It very similiar to a problem I had with a YJ AND IT TURNED OUT TO BE THE IGNITION computer. Please any ides on my problem would be appreciated. Thanks Joel

Sounds like water in the fuel. Have you checked the contents of the filter?

but the boat runs is not missing at an idol. thanks I WILL check that though. I just don't know how water would get in there though.

I had the same issue.....corroded contacts in the cap and rotor is what was causing my problem.
