My 1999 DF50 has a high pitched squaling noise that comes and goes, mostly on cruise speeds. I suspect it's a bearing and I beleive to have read about a particular bearing that often goes bad on these outboards. Unfortunatly I forgot wich one, and can't find the info again, but the lower driveshaft bearing sounds familiar. Just wanted to check if anyone of you guys might know better before I replace it.
