1999 Mercury 50hp Hub kit: HELP

Have a 1999 50hp Mercury 2 stroke engine and I just spun the hub. It is a 13 spline shaft and the prop has this number: 48-76228-13. That is on the back of the prop assuming showing a 13 pitch. Number on the side of prop is 48-76228A4. I've searched these numbers up and down and can't seem to find a proper hub kit. I've looked on mercury's website and they do not show the hub kit on the parts list. Any help is appreciated.

Also, I can easily find complete prop setups with the hub kit already installed with the 13 spline design for between 50 and 100 bucks. Most kits on their own are 15 spline and sell for 50 bucks.

Your prop uses a pressed in hub. take to a prop shop and have repaired

To all that has a 40 - 60hp Mercury made from the late 70's to present do not listen to the comments above. I found two kits that work on our motors and one that I have actually tested. Mercury has kit #835257k12 and Quicksilver has kit #835257q12. Both are said to work. They should be identical. I bought the Quicksilver version and have ran the boat twice now all day and have had no issues.
I've found multiple props online for sale that will fit our boat motors and they list the above Mercury kit as the installed hub kit assembly as well.
Hub kit was very easy to install and you do not need to spend extra money to have a "Prop Specialist" install it for you. Basic hand tools are all you need.

Faztbullet, not saying the part you found is wrong or will not work, but I know for a fact the the kit I ordered works perfectly. I don't know what other Mercury engine in the 30 to 60hp range from the years mentioned on the box this hub would be for. It works fine on my boat. I'll try it out again this weekend if the rain lets up.
The biggest problem I have with posts like yours is you don't answer the question the Op asks. I simply asked for the part I need. I have tools. I have a press. I can do my own work. I simply needed help to find a part. Instead of simply answering the question asked you went straight to "take it to the shop". If that was the case we wouldn't even need a forum. No one would do their own work and we would just take it to the dealer.
I do appreciate your last post with another option. Just wish that was your first post.

Your prop does not have a user replaceable hub.
Take it to a shop, or buy a new prop.
Please don't post misinformation. My prop does have a user replaceable hub. I found one and apparently so did Faztbullet. I don't understand why you guys can't help instead of thinking your post count makes you think you are God! I just asked for what part I needed. It really was that simple.

Sorry but it's not misinformation.
Faztbullet showed you the type of hub you need.
The prop part number you gave is NOT user replaceable hub.
It uses a rubber hub.
I have several of these very same props, exact part number.
That is why you were not able to find a kit.
But now you say you found several kits that work.

A user replaceable hub does not require a press. But I'm so happy that you have a press.
But keep telling us that we are wrong.

Sorry sir. But my original post simply asked what part I needed. Both of you stated there is NO part that could be purchased for a simple user as myself to replace. That is not true. No one asked what tools are needed. A very simple question of what part is needed. I found a part that worked. Roscoe found a part that will work. End of story. That was the ask. If you are anal enough to get into what is considered user replaceable or not, be my guest. A simpleton of a forum member as myself can replace this hub. It has been done. Whether you think it is doable or not is something you can debate somewhere else.
The part kit I found works for my application. I'm sorry if you disagree. Roscoe also found a kit that we feeble forum members can purchase on our own, without having to show a "Supreme Prop Builders" membership card.
Don't over think it. Listen to the ask. It's all I wanted. I'm still waiting for anyone to tell me what in the hell the hub kit I purchased is made for if not for my year model and hp engine I was looking for.

The engine sizes that are listed on the box (Charts) or in the solid hub link by Faztbullet is more for fitment to the gear housing type/size, exhaust flow, prop shaft sizes, and other things that will work together vs full prop type/design... < In the theory of the list is almost a false indicator meaning that it's supposed to or ought to be more about the inner prop hub design for what would work correctly vs not as far as hub types used... Outside looking in, it appears your mileage may be varying here as you mention you made a drop in hub kit work in place of what appears to a solid hub mercury marine prop of the earlier years before Merc designed a prop to accept a drop in Delrin material sleeve 4 cornered design...vs A round design...

The reason you're being questioned would be of past experience is saying the mileage may be sort lived if the 2 different designs were used to make it work? How long is this one going to hold up before it starts to slip again comes to mind.

The following Ebay link is what your prop appears to be using the part numbers provided in which appears solid hubed and possibly a bit older than say your 1999 model engine,

The next following link is what each fitment type designs were meant to be used for correctly 'depending on what your prop inside truly looks like,

May we ask how you removed your what appears to be solid hub, (Press or hand tools?) ((Easy or hard??)) what did the inside of your prop look like compared to what is being mentioned in the link above? Did you have to press in the Mercury flo torq hub kit with a hydraulic press type or put it in by hand with maybe a slap of a hand type power? All do to design/s in accordance with the fitment link above.

Plus, Should you still find the need to locate a OEM quicksilver rubber hub part number, in the following link, go to table of contents, look for Rubber Hubs page 73 and click the rubber hub to get to page 73 quickly… your part number should be in that area to choose from…
