1999 merc 200 efi 2 stroke no spark

I picked up my Grandpas mako with a 99 merc 200 efi 2 stroke that has been sitting 5 or more years. I put a new battery in and tried to start motor with a aux tank and the motor is not getting spark and dc electrical is not my forte any help would be greatly appreciated.

first thing ta check is if tha kill switch is pulled?.. pre-mix in aux. tank?.. motor settin' up that long (old fuel?) may/may not have a long laundry list of things that can be problematic... send me an email addy and i'll send ya an OEM manual in pdf.. ya gonna need it...

Does the tank on engine have a safety that'll kill spark if empty? Im just chasing the no spark for now before moving to fuel. Zacharyeveleth@yahoo.com

sent..
disconnect tha black/yellow on each of tha switch boxes.. check wires for continuity (should be none) ta ground ta be sure its workin'.
