My control box broke (neutral switch wore down) so I replaced with brand new Mercury Gen II box and cables. It installed as a "Swap out", so I didn't have to modify any connections, etc. However, the throttle on the engine was moved while the cables were disconnected. Now that I have reconnected everything, the engine won't start. Seems to be running rich (gas coming out of the carbs). Do I need to do a complete link and sync, or do I just need to adjust the throttle position. I did not touch anything on the engine except the throttle and forward/reverse linkage, where the cables connect to the engine.
Help! The weather is too nice to have the boat sitting in the driveway!
