My tilt and trim stopped working yesterday but I am not too surprised since it was making a horrible sound when it would go up or down. When I hit the button now I hear clicking and I guess that's the relays. While looking into things I noticed that the fluid in the unit was red and I'm thinking its transmission fluid. I have read that transmission fluid should not be used in the tilt trim. I ordered a new motor, but I am unsure if the motor and the ram run off the same fluid, if they do and transmission fluid should not be used is there a way to flush it out? I just bought the boat 2 weeks ago so I'm not sure what has been done in the past and I am new to boating itself. I an starting to understand the analogy the word BOAT .....Break Out Another Thousand ....lol
