Have you done any of the tests in the manual, or are you just going to throw parts at it and hope for the best?

yep, should be 40-43 lbs.

On your engine model, page 1B-9 of Don's link would confirm to you that the fuel pressure should be at 1800 rpm is 30 psi (207 kPa).

havent done the tests yet. Another mechanic said 40 t0 43 psi. I told him I thought I had read 30 psi in my Solec manual or online. Im glad you clarified the 30 psi. The pump is making a whining sound much louder than it should. I will perform the test in the morning. Was 98 out today so I bailed.
