1999 50 hp steering cable

I have a 1999 50 hp johnson outboard on my pontoon boat.I am getting a 2002 120 hp mercury to upgrade this boat. Can i use the same steering cable that is in use with the johnson motor? Also will the current oil box work for the mercury motor? Any idea how much the controls for the mercury motor cost and where to get the controls? thanks

The steering cable is universal. The oil tank and controls aren't those are BRP/OMC specific items you will need to see your local Mercury dealer for rigging.
