I have aprox. a 1999 40 hp johnson have cleaned carbs and pump but fuel pump stops pumping and holds vacum on it for aprox. 5 to 10 seconds after motor shuts off. Anyone have an idea?
Found fuel line for lower carb to be collapsed on inside and also had a little water in fuel. Replaced fuel line flushed carbs drained old can refueled tested ran great. Maybe this will help someone else.
