I have a 1998 mercury 9.9el tracker two-stroke (serial number 0g694685). I've put in a new switch box, two new coil packs, new plug wires, new plugs, a new trigger, and a new reflector. The motor runs fine, but at full throttle, I have no power; I'm only getting up to about 5mph. I have a spark on both plugs. After going down the lake for some distance, it will bog down and cut off at full throttle, but it will start right back up. I'v taking the carb apart, and everything looks ok. What can I do to get more power out of the motor? Can I put a bigger carb on it and get more power? If so, what carb do I need to put on it?

Ayuh,....... Welcome Aboard,....... I doubt you need a new carb, muchless a bigger carb,.....
What you need to do, is figure out why the fuel system isn't working properly,.....
There could be a problem with the tank, the diptube, the anti-siphon valve at the tank's outlet, the gas lines, the fuel pump, or the carb itself,......

okay, I put in a new gas tank, fuel lines, and vacuum lines, and now it won't start at idle unless I have the carburetor at full throttle.
