[h=2]1998 Mariner 4stroke 15hp engine oil leak[/h]
I have an engine oil leak somewhere at the bottom of the powerhead. The engine oil leaks down inside the driveshaft housing. Has anyone had an engine oil leak at either of the gaskets between the powerhead and oil deflection plate or oil deflection and and driveshaft housing? I guess the lower crankshaft seal is a possible source.
It's definitely engine oil not blue gearcase lube. The engine has low hours and used in fresh water, so no corrosion.
