1998 mariner 40hp 2 stroke

i'm looking at a 20 ft boat with a 98 mariner 2 stroke 40 hp 3 cylinder. mercury seems to have made many models around this year. would anyone seem to know if this is a good enough engine or not?

Great motors, just disconnect the oil injection ...... my one failed on me ....

98' yamaha .... mmm no, merc from 1998 maybe, not too sure .. maybe someone else here can tell you ...
